YEP, that's me
Hi! My name is Abby Fauss and I am currently a freshman at Texas Christian University trying to figure out this whole college thing, and how to live 8 hours away from the people I love the most. But hey, what's life without a little adventure? I get the wonderful privilege to call Kansas City, Missouri home (not to be confused with Kansas City, Kansas) and I think it's one of the best places to be, with the best barbecue I've ever had. I'm an only child and got to grow up having two dogs, Kitty and Sadie, as my siblings, along with my mom and dad. My family and friends are the most important things to me, but I'll explain all of that a little bit later. The picture to the left over here encompasses my personality as a whole. You can always find me with this big smile on my face and laughing at pretty much anything (including myself and the jokes I tell to try and be funny). I love to eat snickerdoodle cookies and goldfish and believe that Friends was one of the best TV shows ever created. Now that you know a few things about me, I'll introduce you to some of my favorite people who have shaped my life in more ways than they will ever know.
We Are Family
Like I mentioned earlier, my family is one of the most important things in my life, and having to spend two semesters away from them has been one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Growing up as an only child allowed for my mom and dad to be my two constant best friends, and my cousins to act as my "stand-in siblings." My mom and dad are two of the hardest working and driven people I know. Without their constant love, support, and advice, there is no way I would be the person I am today. Besides my mom and dad, I have had two other people in my family to look up to. My cousin Matt and his wife Brooke are also two of the biggest influences and supporters in my life. They have two precious boys named Reid and Rhett who constantly make me smile. Matt and Brooke both have been in my life for as long as I can remember, and have been so important in my journey so far. Living only a few minutes away from them has allowed our two families to merge into one, and we spend most of our time together with them. The rest of my family is also very important to me, but these people pictured below have been some of the key figures in my journey.
Friends, Pals, Amigos
I know that most people say their friends are the best part of their life, but mine truly are. The three people in these pictures are my best friends, Jacob, Kate, and Macey. The three of them are some of the best people in my life, and I wouldn't be where I am without them either. They are some of the hardest working, caring, fun, and uplifting people I have ever encountered. They constantly know how to build me up when I am down, and have helped me conquer many things that life has thrown my way. This past year, I have had to spend 5 and a half hours away from them rather than them being 5 minutes from my house at home. Although this has been a challenge at times, the countless FaceTime calls and road trips have made up for the distance. Without them and many of my other friends, my life would definitely not be as fun or entertaining, and I wouldn't be able to do it without their constant love and support.
That's it folks! |
Well you've reached the end! Hopefully after reading this page you've gotten to know more about me and see how I've become who I am, and what I value in my life. I'm pretty sure I'll have more things to say on this page as time progresses, so make sure to check up on me from time to time. But for now, thanks for reading and hopefully you'll hear from me soon.
